NOVA: the new Management system concerning The Human Resources
Like a star, NOVA is the name of which has been dubbed the Human Resources Information System of the Group Sonelgaz (HRIS).

Like the other management systems which has Sonelgaz (financial accounting systems, customer management), Nova (HRIS) is of strategic importance for the governance of the Group.


The limits on which characterizes the current system, both in terms of functionality and in terms of technology, growth in staff and the reconfiguration of the Group's organisation require the use of a modern and efficient tool.

The project launched in 2005 by the HRD and SID, responding to an urgent demand of the CEO of Sonelgaz to implement the Nova project, scheduled to last 3 to 5 years, aims to:

•   give the group Sonelgaz a human resources information system friendly and open to users, based on modern technology, scalable and adapted to the configuration of the Group and inducing a gain of productivity through automation and sharing process;

•   implement a solution that will offer many features, including the management of administrative files, payroll and associated declarative statements and reporting decision (balance sheets, dashboards,…);

•   sustain the implementation of the solution by setting up a Sonelgaz competence centre and the implementation of a driving process of change and integration of HRIS in the set collaborative environment (intranet, messaging,…).

The project has three main stages that are writing the specifications, the choice of the solution and integrator as well as the adaptation and deployment of the solution.

The work device based on a mixed team (HRD-SID) responsible for conducting the work, a Steering Committee, which oversees the Advancement Project, provides guidelines and approves the deliverables.
